MyPlanet Threads Assistant ("the tool") is a self-hosted, single-tenant application. Each business operator runs their own instance on their own server and connects their own Threads account. This policy explains what data the tool accesses and how it is handled.

1. Data we access

• Connected account profile. The basic profile of the Threads account the operator connects (such as user ID and username), so the tool knows which account is active.
• The operator's own posts and replies. Content and replies on the connected account's own conversations, so the operator can review and respond in context, and read basic performance metrics.
• Public Threads posts matching configured keywords. For social listening, the tool searches public Threads posts by the keywords the operator configures. Only publicly available posts returned by the official Threads API are accessed.

The tool does not access private messages, and it does not collect data from accounts other than the operator's own connected account beyond the public posts returned by keyword search.

2. How access tokens are stored

OAuth access tokens for the connected Threads account are stored encrypted at rest on the operator's own self-hosted server. Tokens are used solely to call the official Threads API on the operator's behalf. Tokens are never shared with third parties, never sold, and are not transmitted to MyPlanet or any external service.

3. How data is used

Accessed data is used only to provide the features described on our home page: social listening, drafting suggested replies for human review, publishing operator-approved content, and reporting basic performance of the connected account's own content. Data is not used for advertising, profiling, resale, or any purpose beyond these features.

4. Data retention and deletion

Because the tool is self-hosted, the operator controls all stored data on their own server and may delete it at any time. Operators can revoke the tool's access to their Threads account at any time from their Threads account settings (Settings → Account → Website permissions / Apps and websites). Revoking access invalidates the stored token; the operator can then delete any remaining local data.

5. Data sharing and sub-processors

We never sell or rent accessed data, and we never share access tokens with anyone. Tokens stay on the operator's own server and are sent only to Meta's official Threads API.

To provide the described features, post content accessed through the Threads API is processed by the following service providers acting on the operator's behalf:

• AI model provider (OpenAI). The text of a post or comment, and the author's public username, are sent to the model provider to score how relevant the post is and to draft a suggested reply for the operator to review. Access tokens are never sent. The provider is used as a processor and the content is not used by us for any other purpose.
• Telegram (Bot API). The operator's interface is a Telegram bot and Mini App, so notifications and review cards — which contain the post text, the author's public username and a link to the post — are delivered through Telegram to the operator's own chat.
• Hosting provider. The operator's instance, including its database, runs on infrastructure the operator chooses and controls.

Apart from these providers and Meta's own API, accessed data stays on the operator's infrastructure. It is never sold, never used for advertising or ad targeting, and never shared with any other third party.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
